Mr. Syed Mahmudul Huq, Chairman of BSFF and Markus Ehmnn, General Manager of Katalyst signed an agreement on December 19, 2016 in Dhaka. Under the agreement with support and financial assistance of Katalyst, BSFF will carry out a research and evidence based study to review the ground reality about resource availability in the fisheries and shrimp sector. The main objective of the study will also be undertaking a comparative analysis of assistance extended in the neighborhood of Bangladesh. The study will try to find out the resource requirements of fish farmer in Bangladesh and specific initiatives needed to meet such requirements. The study will be carried out by a multi disciplinary team of BSFF specialists over a period of three months.
