A workshop titled “Consultation Workshop on the identified gaps and suggested actions on rules and rules governing authorization and registration process of aqua-inputs” was organized by the Bangladesh Shrimp and Fish Foundation.
The workshop was held on Monday (December 30th) at the Hotel Golden Tulip in Banani, Dhaka.
Presenting the keynote presentation at the event, Nittya Ranjan Biswas (Team Leader, Feed the Future Bangladesh Aquaculture & Nutrition Activity).
Speaking on the topics discussed, Mohammad Shafiqul Islam, Former Additional Secretary, Ministry of Commerce, Zillur Rahman, Deputy Director, Aquaculture, Fisheries Department, Syed Mohammad Ali, Deputy Director, Dhaka Division, Fisheries Department, Md Yusuf Khan, Quality Control, Department of Fisheries, Md Tariqul Islam Sarkar, President, Bangladesh Aqua Products Companies Association, Md Towhidul Islam, General Secretary, Bangladesh Aqua Products Companies Association, Mohammad Islam, Treasurer, Bangladesh Aqua Products Companies Association, Mr. Imtiaz Ahmed, Policy Adviser, Feed the Future Bangladesh Aquaculture & Nutrition Activity, with others.
The speakers emphasized on the import and import of Aqua Products from abroad and the ways to cure them and to create a clear policy.
The workshop was attended by officials of the Department of Fisheries, Animal Health Companies Association of Bangladesh (AHCAB), Bangladesh Aqua Products Companies Association, representatives of World Fish.
The Bangladesh Shrimp and Fish Foundation (BSFF), Funded by USAID / WorldFish, organized this workshop as part of a nationwide ongoing project.
