The BSFF has organized a consultation meeting with the university academics with an aim to outline a course curriculum on pharmacology for the control of fish diseases. The university teachers from 14 public universities involved in the teaching fish health management, teachers from general pharmacology and institute of education & research discipline of DU and veterinary pharmacology of BAU were present as resource persons. In addition, relevant officials DoF & BFRI were also participated in the consultation meeting. It was an effective meeting with fruitful discussions on the title, probable contents, duration, prerequisites for the course with all specific requirements on fisheries pharmacology applicable for undergraduate fisheries education as well as certificate course on the same for the existing fisheries professionals involved in public and private sector. . The resource persons from the DU and BAU suggested some vital and logical issues for consideration. BSFF authority acknowledged the contributions of all the participants particularly the university academics with cordial thanks.
